How to Use Digital Sticker Sheets in GoodNotes (Beginner's Guide)

June 17, 2026

If you've ever scrolled through Pinterest and seen those gorgeous, perfectly decorated digital planners and wondered how people do it — the answer is usually digital sticker sheets.

Digital sticker sheets are PNG or PDF files filled with individual stickers you can cut out and place anywhere in your digital planner or notebook. They work on GoodNotes 6, GoodNotes 5, Notability, and most other iPad note-taking apps.

Here's exactly how to get started.

What You'll Need

  • An iPad (any model works)
  • GoodNotes 6, GoodNotes 5, or Notability installed
  • A digital sticker sheet (PNG or PDF format)

That's it. No special app or subscription required.

Step-by-Step: Importing Stickers into GoodNotes

Step 1: Download your sticker sheet file.
After purchasing, you'll receive a PNG or PDF file. Save it to your iPad's Files app or Photos app.

Step 2: Open GoodNotes and navigate to the page you want to decorate.
Any notebook or planner page works.

Step 3: Tap the image tool (the photo icon in the toolbar).
Select “Insert Image” and choose your sticker sheet from Files or Photos.

Step 4: Resize the sticker sheet to fit your page.
Pinch to zoom and drag it into position. The whole sheet will appear as one image.

Step 5: Use the lasso tool to cut out individual stickers.
Select the lasso tool, draw a circle around the sticker you want, and tap “Cut.” Then navigate to your planner page and tap “Paste.”

Step 6: Resize and position your sticker.
Pinch to resize. Drag to reposition. Done!

Tip: Keep your sticker sheet in a dedicated “Sticker Library” notebook in GoodNotes so you can always come back and grab more.

Works the Same Way in Notability

If you use Notability instead of GoodNotes, the process is nearly identical:

  1. Insert the sticker sheet as an image
  2. Use the selection tool to grab individual stickers
  3. Copy and paste them into your target notebook

Which Sticker Sheets to Start With

If you're new to digital planning, start with functional stickers — icons for tasks, habits, moods, and categories. They're the most versatile and you'll reach for them every day.

The Planner Companion Sticker Sheet is designed exactly for this: priority flags, habit trackers, mood icons, and weekly labels, all in a clean style that works in any planner.

If you want something more decorative, the Pastel Floral Sticker Sheet is a great second sheet — beautiful watercolor-style botanicals that make any page feel intentional.

Printing vs. Digital: What's the Difference?

Most sticker sheets are designed to do both. On paper, you print the sheet and use a cutting machine (Cricut or Silhouette) or scissors to cut them out. Digitally, you import the file and cut stickers out virtually with the lasso tool.

At Paper Bloom Studio, all sticker sheets are delivered as high-resolution PNG files — ready for both printing and digital use.
